Due to increased documentation requirements, the German tax authorities now require the following documents and information for exports to EU member states:

1. Complete and exact company address, telephone number, fax number, email address, details of the branch of industry/branch and if available, internet address, business card, etc.
2. European VAT identification number
3. Copy of commercial register extract, trade license or official company registration (e.g. from the Chamber of Commerce)
4. Passport copy of owner / shareholders / managing directors, and
5. Original signed authorization for collection, preferably with stamp, for the collecting driver
